Congratulations to the nine investigators who have been selected as the top finalists from over 860 abstracts submitted to the 2026 Annual Meeting, presented by IARS and SOCCA! Uncover their pioneering investigations in three categories: basic science, clinical research and research conducted by a scholar during the Kosaka Best Abstracts Session. During oral presentations, these expert researchers will share the results of their research and how these findings will advance anesthesiology and patient care. One winner will be selected in each category and will receive a $500 prize to recognize their innovative contributions to the specialty.
Moderators: Daniel I. McIsaac, MD, MPH, FRCPC, University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, IARS Board Member; Yasuko Nagasaka, MD, PhD, Tokyo Women’s Medical University, Tokyo, Japan, The Japan Society for Clinical Anesthesia (JSCA) Representative; and Santhanam Suresh, MD, MBA, FASA, FAAP, Loyola University Medical Center.
The Kosaka Best Abstract Awards are supported by the JSCA and the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS). The founder of the JSCA, Dr. Futami Kosaka, started a cooperative relationship with IARS in 1990 and developed the foundation for today’s Kosaka Best Abstracts Session. |
