The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) has announced its annual meeting, scheduled to begin on Oct. 3, 2020, in Washington, D.C., will be held exclusively online due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
The society stated that the current outlook for the pandemic prompted the leadership to make the change to a virtual approach to the meeting. The decision was based on “current governmental guidance and mounting scientific evidence about the timing of a cure or vaccine for COVID-19.”
