ASA Action on 2021 Proposed Medicare Cuts

ASA has continued to prioritize addressing the FY 2021 Medicare payment cuts to hospital-based physicians, surgeons, and others effective January 1, 2021. Along with other adversely impacted medical specialty organizations, ASA and its grassroots have urged Congress to act immediately to halt the cuts. Most recently, ASA supported the efforts of Congressmen Ami Bera, MD, and Larry Bucshon, MD, to organize rank-and-file members of Congress and urge House leadership to act to block the payment cuts. The resulting letter to House Democratic and Republican leadership was supported by over 220 members of Congress! We will continue to update you on this important topic as news develops.
