Bloomberg Law features ASA support of Texas federal court surprise billing ruling
In August, Bloomberg Law wrote about a statement from ASA, the American College of Radiology, and the American College of Emergency Physicians commending the Texas federal court ruling that the government’s 600% fee increase to access the independent dispute resolution process and its overly restrictive “batching” limitations violate federal law. “Out-of-network providers that have many claims with insurers have to make large payments to file if they can’t group similar claims together,” said ASA President-Elect Ronald L. Harter, MD, FASA.
