The CEREGLIDE™ 71 Intermediate Catheter with TruCourse™ from Cerenovus, Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, is now available in the United States. The catheter is designed for the revascularization of acute ischemic stroke patients and facilitates direct aspiration and compatible stent retriever delivery, aiding in restoring blood flow in the brain. Acute ischemic strokes comprise 85% of all strokes globally, and aspiration catheters are essential in thrombectomy procedures for assisting in clot removal. However, anatomical challenges can hinder procedure success. The CEREGLIDE 71 is equipped with technology that offers enhanced flexibility, aiding physicians in navigating challenging anatomies and occlusion sites. Designed to maneuver through difficult anatomical conditions, the catheter offers reliable trackability and durability, catering to both direct aspiration and stent-retriever use. Moreover, it will use electronic instructions for use to reduce environmental impact.
